The EBC Blue Stuff NDX formula was developed over years of track driving and testing. It features synthetic fibers for a progressive feel that's far less harsh on rotors than other race pads' semi-metallic fibers. The NDX material is bonded to the Blue Stuff's backing plate with a high-strength granulated chemical interlayer that improves bond strength by a factor of five and a series of interlock holes that prevent pad separation. EBC Blue Stuff Pads are ground and baked, and include deep V-grooves to catch the dust and debris that come from heavy track use as well as vent hot air and gases.
Unlike other racing pads, EBC Blue Stuff Brake Pads are pre-bedded on heat-scorching equipment that burns off volatile organics on the friction surface. The result is a huge reduction in bed-in time which is helpful for racers and daily drivers alike.
